Jamie Delgado

Alcoa, Powerhouse Superintendent

Jamie Delgado graduated from Murdoch University with a Bachelor of Engineering in Instrumentation and Control Engineering & Industrial Computer Systems Engineering. Throughout Jamie’s studies, Jamie took on an internship at Rio Tinto and later joined Alcoa’s three-year permanent graduate program as a Graduate Electrical Engineer where her career really took off. Now with Alcoa for over 10 years, Jamie has been presented with multiple career possibilities, progressing into a leadership role where she is now the Powerhouse Superintendent at the Kwinana Alumina Refinery Powerhouse.

BHP, Engineer Reliability at Iron Ore

I completed my Masters in Mechanical Engineering at UWA in 2017 and joined BHP as a graduate. During my graduate program I worked at Jimblebar mine, Rail in Port Hedland and Yandi mine. I then rolled off the graduate program as a reliability engineer at Yandi and I have just started a new role as a lead engineer in the Port engineering team.
