About this course

Are you always looking for creative ways to improve your home or environment? Enjoy DIY home improvement solutions? Or perhaps you are inspired when you see décor or buildings? A career in design is calling you. This course explores the concepts and theories of architecture, interior design and construction with a particular focus on tropical environments. You will develop theoretical and practical skills in designing the built environment - buildings and their surrounds, as well as computer-aided design (CAD) and the preparation of design and working drawings. You will have a sound understanding of the principles and practices of these industries and can use this degree as a stepping stone into more specific qualifications in architecture.
