This double degree major will develop your ability to communicate in Japanese, while providing you with an insight into the contemporary Japanese culture and current affairs. No previous study of the language is required. If you have previously studied Japanese, you will take more advanced classes.   Through delivery of a comprehensive and up-to-date Japanese language course, you will learn Japanese through practicing listening, speaking, reading and writing. We also offer culturally-focused units so that you can improve your understanding of the culture as well as the Japanese language through this double degree major. Learning about the culture surrounding your target language or country is an important aspect when learning a foreign language.   A double degree will increase your skills and knowledge across two different learning areas and gives you more career opportunities and choices.
