Bachelor of Arts (South West)

This course provides an excellent framework in which to study a range of disciplines, enabling students to harness and refine their creative passions in the arts.Students will cultivate a skill set which encompasses creative arts, strong research capabilities and diverse writing abilities. The opportunity of work placements in the thriving regional creative industries is also available, which will assist with the smooth transition from study to the work place.

* Generate new ideas and / or creative works with demonstrated awareness of regional and global arts contexts through reflexive and critical thinking.
* Initiate well considered research, plan and develop ideas, concepts and processes through critical thinking, creative and reflexive practice using library information literacy.
* Integrate knowledge of cultural history and its influence on the present with awareness of indigenous and other cultures.
* Interpret, communicate and present ideas, problems and arguments in modes suited to a range of audiences.
* Justify the value of interdisciplinary knowledge and collaboration across arts disciplines.
* Recognise the importance of regional arts and identity, the meaning and value of arts in a sustainable community.
* Work independently to realise projects with confidence, demonstrating judgement in solving problems that arise.
