About this course

Designed for students with an interest in aquatic ecosystems, the course introduces the biological and physical processes that occur in both marine and freshwater systems.

There is an emphasis on the continuity of these environments across the transition from freshwater to estuarine and into marine systems. Students develop skills that are required to understand and manage such systems. Students benefit from a learning environment inspired by world class research academics with strong industry and government links.
