Language teachers are in demand in Australia and around the world. With no previous teaching qualification or experience required, this course will prepare you for a rewarding career teaching language in Australia and overseas.

The Graduate Diploma in TESOL and Foreign Language Teaching (FLT) will further develop your knowledge of language as a system and expand your skills in language teaching and testing.

You will gain invaluable teaching practice with ongoing guidance from an experienced mentor in a second/foreign language teaching institution.
This flexible course can be studied either full-time in 1 year or part-time in 2 years and is designed to work for you.

Study the Graduate Diploma of TESOL and Foreign Language Teaching at UC and you will:

  • develop the skills required for the effective teaching and learning of English and other languages
  • gain professional practice in language teaching
  • gain a deeper understanding of language as a system
  • learn about the design of language testing and current assessment practices

Work Integrated Learning (WIL)
