About this course

Broaden your career prospects by studying Music in combination with an Engineering (Honours) degree. Music courses provide training in one of four streams: music creative practice, musicology, sonic arts and music pedagogy. All streams are supported by a variety of large and small, Western and non-Western music ensembles as well as extensive opportunities for developing musicianship skills. The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) will equip you for a career as a professional engineer, giving you a solid background in mathematics, natural sciences and computing that will prepare you for your chosen specialisation. You will apply yourself to engineering design and enquiry projects, professional engineering practice, engineering and technical management and conduct research towards your thesis project.

Applications for undergraduate study from domestic students (Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents, Australian permanent humanitarian visa holders and New Zealand citizens) are processed by the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC).

On-time applications for admission usually close at the end of September each year for Term 1 admission. Late applications can be submitted, but a late fee will apply. For study starting in Term 1, the majority of offers are made in December and January.
