Admission Requirements
To be considered for admission to this course an applicant must have-
(a)(i) a three year Bachelor's degree and a Graduate Diploma, or equivalent qualifications as recognised by UWA, or
(ii) a four year Bachelor of Education or Graduate Diploma in Education or Master of Teaching, or an equivalent qualification
as recognised by UWA, or
(iii) a Bachelor's degree requiring at least four years of full-time study; and
(b) normally at least two years of professional experience in a relevant occupation

C Grades in Year 11 WACE General English, and OLNA; or NAPLAN 9 Band 8 C Grades in Year 11 English and Maths or equivalent Certificate II or Certificate III

As the purpose of this qualification is to develop job-ready skills as a trainer and assessor, applicants will need to demonstrated the following during the application process:

  • Vocational competency or a vocational area
  • Access to a workplace for the completion of assessments
  • Effective language, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Digital literacy and sound application of computer programs e.g. MS Word, Outlook

Assessments require access to real learning contexts and to a group of at least eight learners to demonstrate your skills and knowledge either in your workplace or access to one that relates to your vocational competency.
