Students also take a major in one of Drama, English, History, Philosophy, Politics and International Relations, Psychology, Sociology, Theological Studies, or Visual Arts. Students eligible for scholarship will be selected by a committee, comprising senior ACU and Ramsay Centre staff.
Entry Requirements

Applicants must comply with the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy that includes meeting a minimum ATAR requirement.

To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites at year 12 level, or equivalent:

  • Prerequisites: English (Advanced) (Band 2) or English (EAL) (Band 4)

Entry into this course is based on a combination of a written submission (personal statement essay), an interview and academic performance. Applicants are assessed on a combination of:

  1. written submission of a personal statement,
  2. ATAR-Selection Rank including adjustment factors, International Baccalaureate (IB), or equivalent, and
  3. interview.

Diploma

The Diploma in Liberal Arts provides students from diverse backgrounds with a flexible one-year introduction to tertiary studies through the completion of 80 cp of Arts units.
Entry Requirements

An applicant must also comply with the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy.

To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed:

  1. Equivalent of year 12 level with the ACU minimum eligibility rank for Diploma programs;
    OR
  2. Entry via an alternative pathway as approved by ACU.

International students need to meet the English Language Proficiency requirements as defined in the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy.

Alternate entry provisions including an interview, English language testing and written assessment apply to students accepted through the Refugee Education Project.

Certificate

The Certificate in Liberal Arts normally takes one semester of full-time study or equivalent part-time study. Students completing the Certificate choose 40 cp (four units) from a wide range of Arts disciplines, subject to campus availability.

Alternate entry provisions apply to students accepted through the Clemente Australia program.
