The Bachelor of Tourism delivers the skills necessary for professional engagement across diverse fields from strategic destination development through to designing and delivering memorable visitor experiences.
A high level of industry engagement is central to the three-year degree. Field trips to many of Victoria's most significant tourist destinations and attractions gives you the chance to experience theory in practice and learn directly from owners, managers, experts and specialists.
We address the ecological, economic and social impacts of tourism and engage with sustainability, technological drivers of change and other current and emerging trends and issues in tourism. Backed by fundamental management skills, including finance, marketing, risk and legal issues, leadership, innovation and entrepreneurship, you will explore a broad array of tourism theories and principles.
Knowledge that is crucial to success in the tourism industry - analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, and research and communication - is embedded in a curriculum that offers specialist core subjects and an extensive range of specialised electives.
