This specialist area involves leading teams to achieve goals within identified constraints, using specific knowledge, skills, tools and techniques. Expertise in project management can be applied to any size or type of project in any business or organisation.
The first year of this degree will develop your knowledge in core aspects of business including accounting, business communication, commercial law, business heritage, culture and sustainability, marketing, computing, management and applied research.
In the following two years, you'll specialise in project management by focusing on the many inter-related aspects of a project. You'll also undertake a cooperative education project which will see you work 'hands-on' within a real business environment applying your learning for a minimum of 400 hours. In addition, you'll complete a significant research project for your host organisation.
Upon successful completion of this programme you'll be capable of working in diverse private and public industry sectors in project management positions or management roles that require expertise in planning, execution and closing of business projects.
