Graduate Diploma
Managing projects is an exciting career path and can be utilised anywhere in the world. If you like to plan and see a project move from concept through to completion, this qualification could be a great career-enhancing opportunity for you.
During your studies you'll develop the knowledge and practical skills required to successfully manage simple and complex projects in a variety of sectors. You'll study the principles of project management, business finance, operations management, advanced project management and resource integration or business transformation and change.
Additionally, you'll channel the knowledge and skills you acquire into a practical industry project for a local business or organisation, in which you'll address business issues or advance business opportunities. In the process, you'll strengthen your understanding of operations and production management.
The project management expertise you will gain on this programme aligns with the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), as defined by the Project Management Institute and is an internationally recognised standard.
Note: If you complete one additional course Product Development (AMPD700), provided you complete the Resource Integration (AMRI700) as your elective, you will graduate with two graduate diplomas; the Graduate Diploma in Operations and Production Management and the Graduate Diploma in Project Management, provided that your industry project reflects both fields of study.
Part-time up to 4 years.
On completion of this qualification you will be able to apply your experience to a wide range of businesses and industries as well as specific areas within business such as human resource management, sales and marketing and information communication technologies. Career opportunities include positions as a project manager and management roles requiring expertise in planning, execution, and closing of business projects.
