This work-integrated course is free if you're working in a food and beverage business for a minimum of 20 hours per week, and you're not enrolled in any other tertiary programme.
You, your employer and Ara will enter into a training agreement. This agreement provides and individual training plan with regular feedback as you progress through the programme.
You'll receive on-job training and coaching from your employer and our industry training professionals. You'll also gain knowledge and practical training at our specialist barista labs, in our training restaurants and cafes, and by using our online barista training package. Then, you'll be able to showcase your excellent service and communication techniques through practical, on-the-job assessment opportunities.
As a graduate of this programme, you'll have in-depth knowledge suited to barista and restaurant settings. It's a qualification that can help your career progression in the dynamic hospitality industry.
