About this course

If you have a degree in nursing, meet NCNZ criteria, have employer support and wish to become a registered nurse prescriber, this programme will equip you with advanced practice knowledge and critical analysis skills. You'll spend time in independent study, critical reflection and field work in your place of study or place of work.

The Postgraduate Diploma in Health Practice (RN Prescribing) comprises four specified courses.

Please note:

  • Post graduate courses are designed to be studied one paper per semester (which is equivalent to approximately 20 hours per week of study). Please seek guidance if you'd like to complete two papers per semester.
  • This programme is not open to international applicants.
  • The programme is studied predominantly online, although some courses have compulsory onsite course days. Please check with your course lead during the enrolment process.
  • This programme can be studied part-time up to four years.
  • You'll need to apply 4-8 weeks prior to course commencement to allow for processing.
