Help give children their best start in life. The Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood and Primary) qualifies you to teach children from their birth up to the age of 12. It equips you to inspire and help them develop lifelong learning skills within inclusive environments that encourage and nurture diversity.
You'll choose a specialist teaching area from English, maths, or religious education and your professional experience placements will be conducted in both early childhood and primary education settings. You may also have an opportunity to complete a community engagement unit overseas where you will spend time with local communities and experience an international classroom.
If you choose religious education as your specialist teaching area, you will be eligible to teach in Catholic and other faith-based schools.
An applicant must also comply with the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy that includes meeting a minimum ATAR requirement.
In addition, applicants will be required to demonstrate suitability for teaching.
