Certificate
The Certificate III in Individual Support is a nationally accredited qualification that will give you the practical skills and knowledge to provide person-centred support to older people within the community and/or a residential setting. The course has been designed in consultation with industry and includes both theory and hands-on learning.
You will learn to communicate and work in health and community services, providing physical, social, and emotional support to clients. You will also learn how to work as part of a team with other professionals, such as nurses, health care workers, and support workers.
The course is part-time ranging from 9 to 12 months as Placement arrangements may impact the length of the course. Applicants will be offered both streams to increase their employment options on successful completion. The course will run 2 days face-to-face part-time per week with a self-directed learning component.
