About this scholarship

Overview

The Friends of the School of Music Scholarship encourages new enrolments of first year students who are excellent in musical performance, to the ANU School of Music.

Funding for this award has been generously provided by The Friends of the School of Music, a non-profit association which aims to be a source of practical and financial support to students, advancing musical endeavours within the School, engaging with community and fostering excellence in enrolments at the ANU School of Music.

Eligibility

The award is available each year to prospective ANU student who is:

  • a domestic or international student;
  • enrolling in the first year of an undergraduate degree program in the ANU School of Music; and
  • majoring/specialising in musical performance.

Selection

Selection is basen on musical ability and accomplishment in musical performance, as demonstrated at audition.

Benefits

The Scholarship provides $10,000 (2 payments of $5,000 each semester) for 1 year.

How to apply

There is no application process. Students are considered automatically for the scholarship as part of the ANU admissions process.
