The ANU School of Music may offers the Whitworth Roach Scholarship to encourage andsupport first year undergraduate students to undertake studies in classical musicperformance at ANU School of Music in Canberra
Funding for this award has been provided by Ms Christine Roach. The objective of the award is to encourage and support first year undergraduate students to undertake studies in classical music performance at ANU School of Music.
Since 2015, Ms Roach has generously supported students in classical music performance by funding the Whitworth Roach Classical Music Performance Competition. Christine has deepened her support of the School and its students with this additional award established in honour of her parents, Sylvia and William Whitworth, who encouraged Christine's love and appreciation of classical music

Selection
Selection is based on students meeting the eligibility criteria. Other factors, such asinterview at time of audition, may be taken into consideration and preference may be given to those relocating to Canberra from a regional, rural or remote area.
Benefits
The scholarship provides $10,000 ($5,000 each semester) for one year.

There is no application as students are automatically considered based on them meeting the eligibility criteria within the conditions of award.
