The Bachelor of Communication program will provide you with the skills to stand out as an exceptional communicator in any task. Our flexible Bachelor of Communication provides you with the opportunity to explore many options in personalising your learning. As part of the program, you will select one or two majors or minors in a specific area of interest. These areas include public relations, advertising, journalism, communication and society, corporate storytelling, creative writing, digital media, film and television, and social media. Our subjects contain assessments that may lead you to produce advertising and public relations campaigns for real clients as well as blogs, podcasts, published media stories, and websites. You will also gain insight into communication in various contexts, including interpersonal, intercultural, gender, and persuasive communication. Our graduates are now working with leading advertising agencies, as award-winning investigative journalists, in public relations consultancies, in marketing roles, in corporate training, and in other roles that reflect the evolving nature of communication practices. Altogether, the degree offers students a stimulating course of study and excellent career prospects.The Bachelor of Communication offers students the ideal mix of theory and practice, combining foundational studies in Communication and Media with focused studies in the professional disciplines of Public Relations, Advertising and Journalism. It also allows students to pursue focused studies in Communication & Society, Corporate Storytelling, Creative Writing, Digital Media, Film & TV, Media Studies, or Social Media and a combination of these fields.The Bachelor of Laws prepares students for a career as a legal professional, both within Australia and overseas. It provides students with a thorough grounding in essential areas of substantive law and access to a wide choice of law elective subjects, including the option of completing a specialisation. An integrated skills and professionalism program is embedded in the degree and focuses on core legal skills essential to the practice of law. The Bachelor of Laws provides an engaging learning experience that challenges students academically and prepares them practically for a legal career.

The Bachelor of Communication / Bachelor of Laws enables you to graduate with two undergraduate degrees. The combined degree provides you with the professional outcomes and opportunities of both individual degrees. Please refer to the individual programs for professional outcomes.

Completing this combined program will provide opportunities for a range of careers in private, government and not for profit sectors. Graduates may seek to practise law whilst utilising a foundational understanding of the communication and media industries, or employ their understanding of Law to work in media industries with a background in compliance, regulation and intellectual property.
