You will be given the required skills and knowledge to work with a variety of electrical equipment and systems in residential, commercial and industrial premises . You will have many 'hands-on' opportunities to practice and develop your skills to industry standard in our custom built electrical workshop to learn and work with electrical equipment associated with sizing and testing of electrical control and power circuits with application to Australian standards. On successful completion , you will be able to apply for your electrical licence through State and Territory regulators and work as a fully qualified electrician.
As you are entering this course as an apprentice under the Australian Apprenticeships arrangements, you must be employed in the electrical contracting industry and you must register with an Apprentice Network Provider (ANP) prior to enrolment.
You MUST be supervised by ACT licensed electrician or when working outside the ACT be supervised by a licensed electrician of another licensing jurisdiction.
This program has pre-requisite requirements as shown below. All prerequisites must be achieved. Discuss with a CIT teacher during enrolment to ensure you have met these requirements.
To study any course at CIT (excluding degrees and non-accredited training) you must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI).
