Events are diverse in nature and this course will provide you a pathway to work for event management companies, event venues, or organisations which coordinate their own events operating in a range of industries including the tourism and travel, hospitality, sport, cultural and community sectors.
This course provides you with the skills and knowledge to be able to assist with arranging conferences or events on a practical level. You will gain and apply a broad set of skills and knowledge in all the elements that go into running a successful event from hands-on skills practical skills such as customer service, effective communication, event staging and registrations to using industry software, social media, and online tools.
The skills you will acquire are transferable into other tourism fields and once you finish your studies, you'll have the option to grow your career further with another qualification or university degree.
You must:
- be able to read and write documents and understand maths concepts to a level required to complete Year 10 (early in the course your skills will be checked and if you cannot read and write documents and complete maths work to the level needed, you will be enrolled in additional subjects to help build the skills needed to successfully complete the course.
