This qualification provides you with the skills and knowledge to be competent in a wide range of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) roles.
Working at this level you will support information technology activities in the workplace across a wide range of ICT areas, including technical support, network administration, web technologies, software applications, digital media technologies, animation, basic cloud computing, basic cyber awareness.
You will apply a broad set of skills, including foundational knowledge in critical thinking and customer service skills, to support a range of technologies, processes, procedures, policies, people and clients in a variety of work contexts.
To achieve the Certificate III in Information Technology you need to complete the 6 CORE units and 6 ELECTIVE units.
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. However, it is recommended that to increase your likelihood of success you have demonstrated vocational experience in a range of work environments using basic information technologies.
