This qualification covers workers who provide a range of services and interventions to clients and/or who implement community education and interventions. Work may take place in a range of contexts such as community-based organisations and outreach services. It covers not only practical skills and knowledge essential for a career in the sector but also offers personal growth, job satisfaction and numerous professional opportunities.

The choice of electives for this qualification are set based on consultation and feedback from Industry. Students will complete 7 Core units and 8 set elective units (see course picture for details of units).

Entry requirements

There are no prescribed training package entry requirements. CIT requires you to achieve the following:
Prior to enrolment, achieve a score of 4 in most categories in a Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital skills (LLND) task provided by CIT
