Certificate
This qualification provides you with the skills and knowledge to be competent in a wide range of general Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and to support small to medium enterprises (SMEs). The program will equip you with broad skill base in problem solving, cyber security requirements, basic networking, ICT support, testing, database development, programming, and web development.
To achieve the Certificate IV in Information Technology you need to complete the 7 CORE units and 13 ELECTIVE units.
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. However, it is assumed that you have:
Completed the Certificate III in Information, Digital Media and Technology or other relevant qualification, or units equivalent to the core of the Certificate III; or
- Demonstrated vocational experience in a range of work environments using basic information technologies. This experience should be relevant, such as:
- Demonstrated vocational experience in a range of work environments, specifically using IT networking technologies
- The ability to pass CCNA Routing and Switching - Introduction to Networks (TCP/IP model, OSI model, basic router configuration and IP addressing including VLSM)
- Working with the basic functions of the current version of Windows Server which might include Active Directory, domain controllers and user and group management.
