Diploma
This course is designed to meet the needs of builders and managers of small to medium-sized building businesses, including selecting contractors, overseeing the work and its quality, and liaising with clients. This qualification is required to meet ACT requirements for Class B builder's licence.
To be successful in this program you may require Maths to ACSF level 3 (see below to check your readiness to study) and an understanding of the building and construction industry. This may have been achieved through workplace experience in the construction industry and/or through related study.
CIT may request a short interview to ascertain your suitability for this program, your choice of electives and any eligibility for recognition. Recognition of prior learning may reduce your study load.
If you have completed a Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building) or equivalent, or have relevant work experience and/or are currently employed in a relevant field in the construction industry with access to a building site you may be eligible for recognition of prior learning
