Diploma
This qualification provides you with the skills and knowledge to manage, as an independent ICT specialist or as part of a team, the installation of a range of networks, to current industry standards using the latest server operating systems, network hardware and server virtualisation technology.
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. However, it is assumed that you have:
- Completed the Certificate IV in Information Technology Networking, or other relevant qualification; or
- Demonstrated vocational experience in a range of work environments using IT networking technologies, specifically:
- The ability to pass CCNA Routing and Switching - Introduction to Networks (TCP/IP model, OSI model, basic router configuration and IP addressing including VLSM);
- Working with the intermediate functions of the current version of Windows Server such as DHCP, DNS, NPS, VPN and IPSec.
To study any course at CIT (excluding degrees and non-accredited training) you must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI).
