The Diploma of Sport is delivered flexibly to fit in with your life. Individuals with this qualification are involved in the self-directed application of knowledge and skills, and the provision of leadership and support to colleagues. They work autonomously and coordinate and supervise others.
8 modules comprise the Diploma of Sport (Coaching)
Prospective students interested in enrolling in this course are strongly encouraged to have either attained the Australian Year 12 Certificate or gained relevant industry experience. However, if you have not obtained either of these, an interview will be required to assess your suitability for the program. This interview serves to gather additional information and to customise support tailored to your transition into a new career path. Conveniently, the interview can be conducted either in person at the CIT Bruce campus, via a phone call, or through an online meeting platform.
Upon enrolment, we'll evaluate your Language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) skills through a specific activity. If we find any areas where you could use some extra support, we may suggest additional Foundation Skills subjects to help strengthen your abilities, thereby increasing your chances of success in the course.
Before undertaking any industry placement, you will be required to undertake a 'Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP)' background check or State equivalent.
