This short course is designed to give you the skills and knowledge needed to implement a range of security protection for your devices. This will reduce the risk of a device's operation being affected by spam or destructive software. This course is for individuals who work in technical support roles, including administrators, and other related introductory roles, who are responsible for applying and maintaining ICT systems and components.

Entry requirements

To be eligible for fee-free training at CIT, you must, at the time of enrolment:

  • be at least 17 years of age, not enrolled at school or another program leading to the completion of year 12
  • be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent Australian resident or an eligible VISA holder, and
  • live or work in the ACT.

To study any course at CIT (excluding degrees and non-accredited training) you must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI).
