About this course

This training provides basic safety awareness in the fields of, working at heights, rescue from heights and fire awareness associated with wind turbines and wind power generation.

You will be concurrently enrolled in the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) endorsed Basic Safety Training course to gain required skills and knowledge to work in the Wind Turbine Generator Industry.

GWO training is not Nationally Recognised Training (NRT) under the VET (Vocational Education and Training) Quality Framework, however a Statement of Attainment will be given for the Nationally Accredited units that you will be concurrently undertaking.



Entry requirements

This course is open to people that currently work in/ or wish to enter the Wind Turbine Generator industry, or people who have had work experience from associated industries.

It is recommended that participants are physically fit and able to work at heights.

You will need to complete a GWO Medical Self-Assessment form.

To study any course at CIT (excluding degrees and non-accredited training) you must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI).
