About this course

This course provides fundamental skills in Networking, Networked Operating Systems and static website design. You will be introduced to virtual and physical environments and use a range of industry technologies.

The program engages learners with the CISCO Network Academy. You will learn how to create a peer-to-peer network, incorporating wired and virtual networked environments, including network protocols and packet tracing.

It will enable an understanding of IP Addressing, Active Directory Infrastructure, group policies and disaster recovery and backup.

Using HTML, students will plan, design and develop a multi-page static website whilst learning key skills including layout, syntax and operability.

Completion of the statement of attainment provides all relevant technical skills and knowledge to allow students to undertake the Certificate IV in Information technology and will assist students to choose a specialist pathway.
