This training will provide you with the skills and knowledge required to be able to perform Dogging necessary for licensing in the construction industry.
This training program achieves one unit of competency from the Construction, Plumbing and Services Training Package (CPC08).
You must be physically fit and able to work at heights and at least 18 years of age - this is a requirement in the ACT for licensing of Persons Performing High Risk Work.
You will need access to an appropriate workplace with the required equipment - part of the assessment requirements for this course is an industry logbook. Teaching staff can give advice as to what workplaces are appropriate.
You must have English language skills to effectively communicate and work safely with others in the work area and to read and comprehend manufacturer's instructions and workplace procedures and safety signs. You must also be able to apply mathematical procedures for the estimation and measurement of loads. These skills will be checked prior to enrolment.
