About this course

This training will provide plumbers with the skills and knowledge to:

- identify and comply with legal and risk management requirements of the business or new business venture, including negotating, creating and planning for legal contracts used within the business, where required.
- read and interpret plans and specifications applicable to residential and commercial projects. It includes identifying site characteristics, features of the proposed building and details of the construction.
- It applies to National Construction Code (NCC) classifications:
- Residential - Class 1 and 10 buildings, maximum two storeys
- Commercial - Class 2 to 9, Type C only constructions.
- Carry out work-based risk control processes.
- estimate materials, labour and time requirements and to establish costs for provision of quotations to provide services to a Class 1 building.








Entry requirements

You must:
- have the Certificate III in Plumbing qualification
- or hold a current Journeyperson or Plumbing Registration
