This certificate will prepare you for the basics within the beauty industry. Retail staff follow known routines and procedures and work under direct supervision.

SHB20216 | Certificate II in Salon Assistant
This entry level qualification will give you the start you need to work in a hairdressing salon. You will obtain the skills, knowledge and confidence to get your career as a hairdresser underway and improve your opportunities for obtaining a hairdressing apprenticeship.
As a salon assistant you will be the first staff member to greet a client for their appointment. It is your job to provide them with excellent customer service and ensure that the hairdressers have what they need throughout each appointment.
