The beauty industry has a global market, with everything from makeup to skin care and specialised treatments. Whether you are working in a salon; in a retail setting or even at a specialised beauty treatment practice you will enjoy this rewarding work where you get to help people feel great about themselves.

Through this course, you will learn a range of beauty services including makeup application; waxing; manicure and pedicure; lash and brow treatments including tinting, lamination and extensions; and gain knowledge of different skin care, treatments and cosmetic products to be able to consult with and provide product advice to clients.

Entry requirements

School Leaver Non-School Leaver AQF
OLNA or NAPLAN 9 Band 8 C Grades in Year 10 English and Maths or equivalent Certificate I or Certificate II
RTO Requirements

Students must complete a Client Needs Form provided by the lecturer prior to enrolment. This form is designed to record the specific needs and/or additional requirements identified by the individual client that may affect their chances of successful participation in and/or completion of the course.

Students are required to complete the LLN assessment (via LLN Robot) prior to participating in the course.
Students must be able to stand for long periods of time during the day and be able to massage and perform beauty treatments on at least four clients per day to prepare the students for average industry client appointments.

All students must have well-developed communication skills to enable them to work with clients on a personalised level.
