Please note, this course can only be accessed by an employed apprentice, if this course interests you, please speak to your employer or employment agency about signing up as an apprentice.
In this course you will gain the knowledge and skills to work effectively in the construction industry, how to safely install, alter, and repair pipework services and appliances to suit domestic, commercial and industrial needs, cold and hot water supply, gas supply, sewage, waste and rainwater disposal, how to install and repair roofing, gutters and drainpipes, and how to make buildings waterproof, and workplace health and safety.

(b) Duly complete the administration requirements of the Regulations. This includes, but is not limited to Notices of Completion and compliance badges; and
(c) Correctly calculate ventilation requirements, correctly size fluing, correctly size piping systems, and correctly plan a gas installation.

To meet the above requirements stipulated in the Energy Safety WA Guidelines, students are required to complete numeracy and literacy assessments at the beginning of their first block. The result of these assessments determines any requirement for numeracy and literacy support. If students require additional support, this is supplied through the CAVVS program run by CRTAFE.
