About this course

Gain an understanding of basic applied mathematics

The objective of this Trade Maths course is to provide a practical understanding of basic mathematical practices.

This course is designed for students wanting to pursue a career in engineering studies as well as anybody wanting to improve their current mathematical skills.

Topics covered include:

  • adding, subtraction, multiplication and division of whole numbers, decimals and fractions
  • calculate percentage for use in a variety of situations
  • apply fundamental operations related to measurements, and
  • apply some basic algebraic and geometric functions to every day situations.
Certification

Upon successful completion students will be issued with a Certificate of Participation
