Gain the skills and knowledge that will assist you in

assessing and gathering evidence, preparing a brief of evidence for presentation to court, and conducting the prosecution in court in a professional and confident manner

This unit applies to individuals working in local government across all job levels.

The skills in this qualification must be applied in accordance with Commonwealth and State or Territory legislation, Australian standards and industry codes of practice.

Entry requirements

Learners must participate in an interview with the lecturer (face to face or phone) prior to enrolment.

Learners must complete a Student Profile and Learning Needs Questionnaire provided by the lecturer prior to enrolment. This is designed to gather background information of the learner including specific preferences and needs they may have with the purpose of addressing them in training and assessment.

The specific needs and/or additional requirements identified by the individual learner are records on the Student Needs Summary Form with specific actions for addressing them and outcomes of the actions.

It is expected that learners would have as a minimum level, Year 10 English or equivalent to enable them to cope with the literacy and numeracy requirements of the course including fluency in English.

The lecturer will determine if the learner is required to undertake the LLN Robot Quiz. This is to identify LLN requirements and to identify support strategies to assist with this.
