Snorkel and dive the beautiful Abrolhos Islands!

Practice your skills and broaden your marine biology knowledge all while diving and snorkeling in a world class marine reserve. Grab your friends, form a group and spend three days diving and learning together. This short courses includes an intake for new students and continuing students.

Students will complete a minimum of six (6) nationally recognised units as part of this short course. Required units will depend if you are a new or continuing student. The course work will be completed online and the practical component out on the water.

New Students

SFI20111 | Certificate II in Aquaculture Students can select units from the below list:

  • SISOOPS304A Plan for minimal environmental impact
  • SISOODR302A Plan outdoor recreation activities
  • SISOSCB301A Scuba dive in open water to a maximum depth of 18 metres
  • TLID1001A Shift materials safely using manual handling methods
  • SFIEMS201B Participate in environmentally sustainable work practices
  • SFICORE106B Meet workplace OHS requirements
  • SITHACS101 Clean premises and equipment

Continuing Students

SIT30116 | Certificate III in Tourism Students can select units from the below list:

  • SITXCOM002 Show social and cultural sensitivity
  • SITXWHS002 Identify hazards, assess and control safety risks
  • SISOSCB308 A Guide a scuba dive
  • BSBWOR203 Work effectively with others
  • SITXHRM001 Coach others in job skills
Certification

Upon successful completion you will receive a Statement of Attainment.
