This skill Set is aimed at individuals who need to complete shipboard safety units of competency as required by the Australian Maritime Safety Authority.

You will learn survival techniques and safe working procedures for emergency situations on board a vessel

  • Basic survival skills in the event of vessel abandonment
  • Follow procedures to minimise and fight fires on board a vessel
  • Work health and safety requirements
  • Survive at sea using a survival craft
