SQL is the standard language for creating, manipulating and accessing relational database management
systems. This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to retrieve and manipulate information stored in information systems using a query language.
It applies to those who are involved in a range of work environments, who are required to extract information from a relational database by creating and running queries.
The delivery of this VTP is subject to student numbers. If the minimum student numbers are not achieved, interested VTP students will have the option to join the mainstream equivalent unit which is delivered over a longer duration.
Assessment of students capability to study online and at a distance will be undertaken, this will ensure each student has the requirements to study online and undertake training and assessment from home.
Students will need to demonstrate an appropriate level of language, literacy, numeracy and digital literacy skills to undertake this program with a LLN assessment and an interview to determine suitability for the Program.
To achieve the vocational training program VTP376 - Apply query language in relational databases, a total of one (1) unit of competency must be completed as listed below.
