About this course

This Aquaponics short course provides students with an exciting way to grow food that can reduce your environmental footprint while providing fresh healthy foods, all year round. Aquaponics is a practical example of water efficiency and where we can turn "waste" into a resource. If done correctly, aquaponics should be cost effective and require minimum maintenance. You can create an aquaponics system in a small suburban space and it can be built to incorporate your existing garden. Aquaponics is recreating a natural ecosystem into your backyard.
