This two-year course offers specialised professional knowledge and skill in early childhood teaching for those who have a non-education Bachelor degree. The program is designed to develop professional knowledge and skills of early childhood professionals; prepare for new and changing educational roles as early childhood educators for children up to eight years; develop reflective practitioner skills; explore in greater depth the theory to practice nexus of early childhood education; ensure continuing awareness of the environmental and cultural influences on teaching and learning in early childhood, and better understand the needs of learners and communities with diverse linguistic and cultural orientations, including Indigenous learners.
