Bachelor
The Bachelor of Educational Studies offers a flexible three year undergraduate degree with a wide range of opportunities and choices available to graduates. It offers flexibility in education career options, such as vacation care, homework centres, tutoring in private colleges and home tutoring. It also gives those candidates with an interest in education the option of studying a broad range of Education subjects relating to education as a discipline (non-teaching).
This course is not a professional teaching qualification. It allows students flexibility in the construction of a course of study that they consider will best meet their future needs.
There is no direct entry into this course. This course is only available as an internal course transfer from the Bachelor of Education Primary (WEDP02), the Bachelor of Education Secondary (WEDS02) or the Bachelor of Early Childhood (WEDEC1). Applicants must complete a minimum of 80 credit points in the Bachelor of Education Primary, the Bachelor of Education Secondary or the Bachelor of Education Early Childhood to be eligible to apply for transfer. Applicants must choose the 'unit set' at entry, either early childhood, primary or secondary.
This course offers 4 core units, 9 specialist electives and 12 elective units.
