About this course




This PD course aims to enhance teaching and learning of Greek language and culture by incorporating contemporary approaches and methodologies. Teachers will acquire innovative strategies, techniques, and technologies to improve their instructional practice, resulting in more effective language acquisition and cultural understanding among students, and will equip teachers with the necessary tools and resources to enhance professional competence in teaching Greek as a second or foreign language.

The following topics will be covered:

  • Curriculum update and development: Participants will learn how to update and develop curriculum for teaching Greek language and culture.
  • Current approaches of Greek language and culture as a second and foreign language: The workshops will explore innovative approaches and methodologies for teaching Greek effectively.
  • Use of Artificial Intelligence in Greek classes in Australia.

This course would be suitable for teachers teaching Greek in public, community and private schools in SA and NT. It will be delivered fully Online.

There are 3 hour sessions each week over 3 weeks (plus 2 hours a week extra work).

2025 session dates will be:

  • Monday 31 March, 6:00 - 9:00pm
  • Monday 7 April, 6:00 - 9:00pm
  • Monday 14 April, 6:00 - 9:00pm
