About this course




This program is a short course for students wanting to build their understanding of and skills in cyber security. The course includes maintaining security of digital devices, promoting workplace cyber security awareness and best practice, contribute to cyber security threat assessments and risk management. This course is delivered online with weekly online tutorials.

This course is being offered as part of an initiative between Charles Darwin University, the NT and Australian Governments to fund new training opportunities with a focus on people from diverse and non-IT backgrounds.

Entry requirements

Students will need to have basic computer skills, including knowledge of common computing terms and word processing, proficiency with web browser software and use of email, and familiarity with navigating the internet. Students will also need to have access to suitable technology and be capable of undertaking training and assessment online.

To ensure you have the right skills and support to succeed in your course, a Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) evaluation helps identify any areas where you may need additional support to help you achieve your goals.
