About this course

This microcredential will provide an introduction to a first programming language, including:

  • basic control structures common across languages
  • concepts and technologies associated with platform-independent, object-oriented programming

Active Learning:

  • Combine practical experience in using professional standard Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) to create applications with associated theoretical concepts.

Term 1: This course will be delivered between 14th February 2024 and 6th April 2024 - two hours per week for eight weeks.

Applicants must be 18 years old by the Census Date of the relevant admission period and have completed Year 10.
