This course requires students to access geographical information and incorporate it onto maps for use in land management. It relates to extracting, comparing and manipulating data in response to customer requests. It supports those whose job role includes preparing maps by hand or by using geographical information systems (GIS) for land management purposes. Students are assessed using a range of methods including quizzes, a portfolio of mapping activities, projects, and activity and communication logs.
