This course has been created to give students the foundation knowledge in networking and Python programming that will allow them the best opportunity to successfully participate and complete the 22603VIC Certificate IV in Cyber Security Accredited course.

This course is being offered as part of an initiative between Charles Darwin University, the NT and Australian Governments to fund new training opportunities with a focus on people from diverse and non-IT backgrounds.

Entry requirements

Students will need to demonstrate an appropriate level of language, literacy and numeracy skills to undertake this program. Students may be required to complete an online LLN assessment to determine:

  • whether the student is in the correct qualification level to be successful,
  • what support a student may require

To achieve the vocational training program VTP456 Introduction to Cyber Security a total of two (2) units of competency must be completed as listed below.

Successful completion of the course will create a pathway and transition to 22603VIC Certificate IV in Cyber Security Accredited Course.

Achievement of this course may provide credit towards qualifications in the ICT Information and Communications Technology Training Package.
