This course provides the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines.
This applies to anyone who may be required to provide a CPR in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.
There are no formal entry requirements for these units. However, students will need to demonstrate an appropriate level of language, literacy and numeracy skills to undertake this course.
To achieve the vocational training program VTP451 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation a total of one (1) unit of competency must be completed as listed below.Students will be issued with a Statement of Attainment upon successful completion.
Successful completion of this course will provide you with the skills and knowledge required to provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation to a casualty in the workplace or in community settings.
It is also a skill that is required to be renewed annually in some industries as part of their industry standards.
