• Must be 18 years or age or above
• Are expected to be working within the local hospitality industry in an environment where they have the opportunity to practice the skills required

• Successful completion of the Northern Territory Certificate of Education and Training (or equivalent) and the awarding of an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) of at least 70*.
• Successful completion of a national qualification at Diploma level or higher.
• Successful completion of at least 0.5 year of full-time study (or equivalent) of a higher education degree with a GPA of 5.5 and above.
• Overseas secondary or tertiary qualifications considered equivalent to the above Australian qualifications.
• Attainment of a STAT Multiple Choice score of 180.
• Successful completion of the Tertiary Enabling Program, the Preparation for Tertiary Success courses, or other recognised tertiary preparation courses.
• Defence members with service of 1 year or more at the following ranks (or higher) meet the academic entry requirement for this course:
  • Navy: Seaman, Able Seaman, Leading Seaman
  • Air Force: Aircraftmen/Aircraftwoman, Leading Aircraftman/Aircraftwoman, Corporal
  • Army: Private, Lance Corporal, Corporal

To gain entry into SHB30416 Certificate III in Hairdressing as an Apprentice, candidates require:

• To be an Apprentice who has entered a Training Contract with their employer an Australian Apprenticeship Support Network NT

Students can undertake this course as non-Apprentices at the Alice Springs or Palmerston campuses, the fulltime course program is designed for applicants over the age of 21.

To gain entry int BSB40120 Certificate IV in Business, it is preferred that candidates have:

• BSB30120 Certificate III in Business or other relevant qualifications and/or
• Relevant vocational experience.

Students may be required to undertake a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LL&N) assessment to establish support requirements for this qualification.

You are eligible to apply for the Bachelor of Clinical Science if you:

- hold year 12 qualifications and have studied no more than one year of higher education; and

- have completed the University Clinical Aptitude Test for Australia and New Zealand (UCAT ANZ) held in July and August

Please note, UCAT is not required for applications under the First Nations Entry Application Process. When asked for your UCAT number (if you have not sat the UCAT) please enter ANZ00000000 while applying through SATAC.

The UCAT comprises of five sections; verbal reasoning, decision making, quantitative reasoning, abstract reasoning and situational judgement. Each section of the UCAT will contribute equally to produce the UCAT ANZ derived score. Your UCAT derived score (10%) will be combined with your Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) (90%) to determine your ranking for a place on this course.

In order to be competitive, you will need to achieve an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) of 90 or above, 85 for indigenous students (after the addition of any applicable ATAR related adjustment factors).

Only Australian citizens and Permanent residents are eligible to apply.

It is recommended that students have a minimum of half of the applicable qualifying sea service as listed below

• 30 days with a completed and approved task book (15 days for course entry)
• 150 days without a completed and approved task book (75 days for course entry)

• Current School Leaver Pathways:

A pre-enrolment process to establish suitability to undertake the course and to determine support requirements will be conducted, which will include a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment.

Students require a retail workplace where they can have a minimum of three (3) hours weekly practice to develop their skill base. This can be unpaid, such as a volunteer in a charity store. Students must be 15 years of age or older as per CDU Student Guide.

This course is for apprentices who have a Training Agreement (Apprenticeship) with an employer.
There are no entry requirements for students in this qualification, although a basic level of Math and English is required.

This course is also for international students for which English may be a second language; therefore the learner may require additional support in this area. For International students, a minimum IELTS 5.5 score is required.

Students are encouraged to seek employment in the baking industry to assist with skill development of their practical skills in a real-world environment.
